Prima worktops are made by Formica (the inventors of laminate), so already you can expect quality when it comes to these surfaces. Prima is a range that strives to last in your kitchen and look good while doing it. Like all Formica products, it's hardwearing with a water/stain resistant surface, making it a high performance and hygienic option that is simple to both clean and install. Produced in ideal sizes for customer requirements, it's the functional choice.

When it comes to designs, the Prima collection consists of 34 décors spread across 5 palettes: Woods (Light & Dark), Stones (Light, Warm and Dark), Engineered, Metal, and Solid Colours - it doesn't take much imagination to see the variety that can fall under these names, and that's not including the 10 separate feature splashbacks in solids or metallics either. The only things they lack are the realistic textured feel of Axiom, this however making it a more cost effective choice for those focused on utility with looks.

Prima tops come in a 38mm thickness with a curved edge that's sealed tight to keep liquids out, giving each top a sleek profile. Lengths span between 3050mm and 4100mm with depths of 600mm to 900mm for each. Matching upstands come in 4100x100x20mm, while matching splashbacks sit at 4100x1210x6mm, coming at their largest allowing them to be cut down to any specification. Prima's feature splashbacks however offer more flexibility, at heights of 3030mm or 4100mm and lengths of 600mm or 1210mm with the same 6mm thickness. These smaller sizes are ideal for behind a hob (excluding gas) or sink, as they retain the same strengths as the tops.
